This program is only available to children entering junior kindergarten beginning in the fall of 2013.
When she’s not poking and prodding your eyes, Annette spends her time with her step kids Kevin and Victoria, her twin Grandsons born February 2017, and her husband Mark (who you might notice from the photos) watching movies, gardening, reading, travelling, and lately weight lifting with Carrie Misener of Evolution Physique and Fitness. Oh and she also has a crazy cats Ozzie who thinks he’s the boss.

Sue Armstrong started her career with Dr. Delio in 2004 as her Optometric Technician, but she jokingly says she’s the boss. Sue, shares the responsibilities of working with the patients to help choose frames, ordering, verifying spectacle prescription, dispensing, adjusting and repairing eyewear and the everyday joys of working for the wonderful Dr. Annette Delio. Sue also manages the frame inventory, and accounts payable.
When not working, Sue can be found entertaining in her kitchen, reading, or throwing parties. As a lover of recipes and sharing kitchen secrets, she has quite the excuse to cook with four kids to feed. Sue moved to Cayuga from Sudbury for true love in 1986 and then to their farm in 1991. She loves farm life, but admits she’s not much of a farm wife so she lets her husband tend to their cattle and cash crops; but she’s still a loving wife and will shut the gate if he happens to leave it open.
Carol Fearman has been Dr. Annette Delio’s receptionist since 2005. On top of making Annette’s life easy around the office, Carol runs a tight fiscal watch on all expenses- it’s a joke around the office, but she makes sure every pencil is worked down to the stub before a new one is bought. Carol is also our primary pre-test technician, and manages the contact lens and eyewear accessory inventories.
Carol was born and raised in Halidmand County and has raised her two children here too. Before working for Dr. Delio she helped run a catering business with her sister, and worked at Hagersville Foodland for 6 years. Now residing on 36 acres she spends her time watching scary movies and reading Stephen King novels.
Tracy Neill comes to us from Cayuga where she has lived for the past 20 years. Tracy was lucky enough to be able to stay at home and raise her two children. When her husband was injured at work, Tracy was forced to look for work outside the home. The local grocery store/garden centre would be her calling for the next 9 years.
Tracy has a passion for helping people and enjoys volunteering. When her children were in school, she volunteered in every capacity; Family is everything! Tracy has been a trustee on the Board at Cottonwood mansion for the past two years. Although her term is up soon, she will still be available to lend a helping hand when needed. When she’s got some down time, Tracy loves to hang out with family and friends. Smiling is a huge part of her life as well. It only takes 17 muscles to smile; 42 to frown. It’s a no brainer!
Kim Waring started as an Optometric Technician. She is from Hamilton and has spent most of her career in the steel industry. She is married with two daughters, a bossy little dog and a weight challenged cat. She has been a loyal patient of Dr Delio’s for many years and decided to take a turn on the other side of the desk.
Carli Gunnell joined our team in early 2016 and brings with her over five years of experience in the Optometric field. She became a certified Canadian Optometric Assistant (CCOA) in 2014, achieving the highest grade in Canada. Carli is one of our expert eyewear consultants and our primary contact lens instructor. She is always happy to help our patients find the best solutions for their visual and aesthetic needs.
